Michael A. Brubaker

As long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to fly.  And after nearly 20 years of doing just that, I can say that there’s nothing else I’d rather do.  After earning a degree in aviation, I began my journey up the aviation ladder, starting with work as a line service technician at Moyer Aviation at Braden Airpark in Easton, PA.  I was also lucky to begin instructing at this time on a part time basis.  Once an opening for a full time flight instructor was available, I joined the ranks of Moyer Aviation’s flight instructors and charter pilots.  This experience, including an upgrade to Captain for Moyer Aviation’s busy charter department, allowed me to gain invaluable experience as I progressed towards an airline career.  During my tenure at the airlines, I flew Canadair Regional Jets and Embraer Regional Jets throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.  Throughout my career progression, the one thing I still continued to enjoy was sharing my passion for flying with others through flight instructing.

I hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with type ratings on the EMB-145 (Embraer Regional Jets), HS-125 (Hawker Business Jets) and LR 60 (Lear Jet 60), and am a Gold Seal Flight Instructor with Single Engine, Multi-Engine, and Instrument Airplane privileges.  I currently fly Lear 60 aircraft out of Philadelphia International Airport.  My experience as a pilot and instructor ensure you’ll receive the most up to date and professional instruction and FAA flight tests available.  With thousands of hours logged in all weather conditions and geographical locations, I am proud of my perfect safety record, and I strive to continually learn more in order to maintain the highest levels of proficiency.  In addition to being an active pilot and flight instructor, I am also a FAASTeam Lead Representative for the Allentown FSDO.

I live in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania with my wonderful wife Jessica, my son Braden (Any guesses where that name came from?) and my pets.  I’ve also lived in Nashville where I played music professionally, and I’m especially proud of my service as a member of the first and finest State Police agency in the nation, the Pennsylvania State Police.
